Working at PlayBrain

WHAT WE DO

PlayBrain is a creative and marketing agency for game companies, based in Tokyo. We specialise in content marketing, community building, esports and cross culture creative production for game companies in Japan and around the world.

Core to our service offerings is our own game community platform DEKKI.com, and its related DEKKI Twitch, Twitter and other social channels.

Our clients vary from international and Japanese AAA titles, to indie developers just getting their start. Some include Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Riot Games, CD Projekt Red and more.

WHY WE DO IT

We love games. We are passionate about playing and watching them, but like many gamers, find ourselves bombarded by interruptions fighting for our attention. PlayBrain’s mission is removing this friction from game marketing experiences.

Our vision of the future of marketing for games is frictionless. We create marketing content that becomes the destination, something players value, rather than an interruption.

HOW WE WORK

Our team is built around two complementary pillars, client service and development.

The Client Service arm of the company works directly with some of the largest game companies in the world, helping them with marketing, developing esports, communications strategies, operating communities and more.

The Development arm of the company is focussed on building the tools and services to facilitate our frictionless marketing approach, such as our community and esports tournament hub, dekki.com, or the League of Legends pro league platform, jp.lolesports.com.
